Newport is famous for having the world's largest number of architecturally historic buildings in one town.
The Almy Manor was constructed between 1870 – 1890 and is one of the over 150 homes designed and built by the famous Newport architect, George Champlin Mason, Sr. This original 20+ room Victorian mansion offers graciously appointed rooms, a grand three story vestibule, 10 foot mahogany doors, and elegant wood floors. Rear windows provide seasonal views of Almy Pond and the distant Atlantic Ocean. Almy Manor is now an owner-occupied 4-family residential building beautifully updated while honoring the splendor of the past.
Newport, the New World's original beach resort, continues to be a premier destination. Sailing, music, shopping, beaches, mansions, festivals, polo, restaurants, surfing, fishing, and birding are just a few of the attractions here.
We are the third most popular wedding location in the US, after Las Vegas and Maui.
Come enjoy all that is here!
